Empowering Women, Empowering Nations Conference - 25.11.11

 

the‘Empowering Women, Empowering Nations’ event is part of the African/Black History Month celebrations, the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Its theme is “The Role & Significance of Black Women in Changing the History of a Lost Generation”  -  aims to highlight the achievements and influences of African women who have been campaigning for a better world. 

Rox treking Mount Kenya for Trekstock - Needs your HELP!!

UK Singer songwriter Rox is doing her bit for charity and she needs your help!. She will be climbing Mount Kenya in September with a group of musicians and other trekkers to help raise money for Trekstock, a charity helping young people with cancer.  Roz is aiming to raise £3,300 and she needs your help to make a donation, the donation can be any amount you can afford and it's simple and quick to do, click here to Donate.
