Girls on Film: 40 Years of Women in Rock - 14/02/11 - 05/09/11

I am so gutted that I am not in the States to attend the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum's latest exhibit, Girls on Film: 40 Years of Women in Rock, which opened early February of this year in the Rock Hall’s Patty, Jay and Kizzie Baker Gallery. The exhibit, featuring images by photographer Anastasia Pantsios, offers a snapshot into the world of some of the most influential women in rock and roll over the last four decades.

YouBloom is a community-based platform created by artists for artists and their friends and fans. Established to support unsigned talent, YouBloom's Vision is to enable musicians and artists to fulfill their potential, building and connecting them directly with a wider audience and – importantly – helping them to make a living.
The YouBloom Song Contest, was conceived and judged by Bob Geldof (a long-term friend of YouBloom founder Phil Harrington). Other judges include international A&R Nigel Grainge, songwriter & music producer Rupert Hine and US megawatt record producer Damion ‘Damizza’ Young.

So are you interested, want to know how do you get involved?

Get Fit The Healing Way with Lyrical Healer - 26/03/11

Once of the many things I particularly love about our members or female talent that we follow, is that they are multi talented with a number of facades to them. And one such person is UK poet, radio present, author and host Lyrical Healer. Over the last year Lyrical Healer has been on a journey to get herself not only physically healthy but also spiritually and mentally healthy.

Lyrical Healer recently informed us about her new website for Get Fit The Healing Way. The website tells the story of Lyrical Healer’s journey from training, healthy eating, motivational tips and how to stay focused on your goals. Over the year she has gone down 4 dress sizes and lost over 40lbs.

I for one am all for this, my love for sweet things is getting the best of me. You know what they say new year new you.

We heart - DUTTY SHOP

The cool crew from Bristol Dutty Girls have a new website for their lovely treasure trove of a shop perfectly titled Dutty Shop, which is located at 116 CHELTENHAM ROAD STOKES CROFT BRISTOL BS6 5RW
